A Season of Classics

The much-anticipated second season of The Florida Philharmonic promises to be an unforgettable experience filled with exhilarating performances and enchanting melodies. From the opening concert, Symphonic Journeys: from Italy to Vienna to our Heroic Finale, each concert is thoughtfully curated to provide a rich and diverse listening experience. Our concerts offer a unique opportunity to celebrate the power of music and create memories that will resonate for years to come.

Tickets go on sale JUNE 15 and are available on our website or by calling the Box Office at 941-529-6094. All performances will take place at the Burnt Store Presbyterian Church, Punta Gorda.

Symphonic Journeys: from Italy to Vienna

Setting the tone of a season filled with musical brilliance, our opening concert will take you on a journey through the rich tapestry of classical music.

Neoclassical Nights

Meet Richard Stoelzel
Conductor

Richard Stoelzel is a distinguished musician with a diverse, accomplished career as both a trumpeter and conductor. In addition to serving as the Artistic and Music Director of The Florida Philharmonic, Maestro Stoelzel has most recently conducted the Syracuse Orchestra in New York.

Meet Ming Gao
Concertmaster

Ming Gao is the Concertmaster of The Florida Philharmonic and Associate Concertmaster of the Naples Philharmonic, with past concertmaster positions in the Nanjing Experimental Orchestra and Eastman Philharmonia, assistant concertmaster positions in Youngstown, Harrisburg symphonies, acting associate concertmaster of Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra, and 1st violinist of the Pittsburgh Opera and Ballet Orchestra. He has participated in music festivals across the U.S., Germany, and China. Ming also teaches as an adjunct violin professor at Florida Gulf Coast University and has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Naples Philharmonic, Punta Gorda Symphony, Nanjing Experimental Orchestra, and Jiang Su Provincial Symphony Orchestra.
